These are some rules for living (in Spanish and then in English) that I plan on sharing with my Spanish II students next week. We will discuss them and I will encourage them to come up with their own. What would you add or take away? What does your list look like?
MIS ONCE REGLAS Y OBSERVACIONES ¿CUÁLES SON LAS TUYAS?
- Ser cortés y respetuoso.
- Leer cada día.
- No hacer decisiones importantes cuando estás triste, enojado o muy contento
- No apostar por dinero
- No tomar préstamos de dinero
- No confiar en los hombres que usan pantalones blancos
- Sieres la persona más inteligente en la sala, estás en la sala equivocada.
- La gente es más estúpida que puedes imaginar.
- La gente puede ser mejor que puedes creer.
- Sonreír y reírse mucho.
- Decir gracias mucho.

- Be courteous and respectful.
- Read every day.
- Don’t make decisions when you are sad, mad, or very happy.
- Don’t gamble.
- Don’t borrow money.
- Don’t trust men that wear white pants.
- If you are the smartest person in the room, you are in the wrong room.
- People are more stupid than you can imagine.
- People can be better than you can believe.
- Smile and laugh a lot.
- Say ‘thank you’ a lot.
